I offers services for teens, adults,
and families who have problems
with everyday living. Solutions can
be within reach for many concerns,
such as:
• Gain insight and understanding on how you
became the way you are.
• Don’t allow difficult circumstances to make
you unhappy.
• Overcome instead of reenact the same
problems.
• Explore areas of your life where you may be
the architect of your own happiness or misery.
• You are in charge of your own life and can
change who you are.
If I am not for myself, who will be
for me?
If I am not for others, what am I?
And if not now, when? Rabbi Hillel
I view the therapist as a consultant who
helps the client develop tools to deal with life
issues.
What I Do
Please listen to the radio host Dennis Prager once a week (non-political hour) on happiness:
It's the happiness hour. Dennis talks about happiness every week at this time, because happy people make the
world better, and you have a moral obligation to at least act as happy as possible. And if not, to be as happy as
possible. Everyone alive has good reason to be unhappy. Everyone. So it is, except for those who are truly,
chemically incapable, or those who have undergone such staggering trauma as to have incapacitated them, the
rest of us will happiness, or will unhappiness. Well, better, will happiness, or just allow unhappiness to take its
course.
04/20/2012 - Happiness Hour: Develop Passions. Having different passions is a key to happiness. Can you push
yourself to develop new passions? Dennis thinks you can. Callers weigh in.
04/13/2012 - Happiness Hour: We Never Have Enough. Human beings are, by nature, insatiable. This is a big
cause of unhappiness. But knowing your nature is the first step toward controlling it. And controlling it leads to
happiness.
04/06/2012 - Happiness Hour: Religion and Happiness. On this Good Friday and the eve of Passover with Easter
around the corner, Dennis makes the case for religion being a major source of happiness.
03/31/2012 - Happiness Hour: People Attraction. How many people have sour-tempered friends? The answer is
very little. Dennis explains why.
03/23/2012 - Happiness Hour: When Do You Drop a Friend? The breakup of a friendship can be very painful. How
do you know when a friendship has ended?
03/16/2012 - Dennis opens up the lines to callers, something he wants to do more often this year. Issues raised
include: why does a spouse cry during every argument; why is one sister happier than the other; what if you're
happy, but others think you're unh
03/09/2012 - You spend a lot of time at your job. Can you have a good time doing your work? Dennis has some
ideas.
03/02/2012 - Dennis talks to Dr. Stephen Marmer, member of the clinical faculty of the UCLA Medical School and a
psychiatrist in private practice in Brentwood, CA, about whether we can rid ourselves of our demons or just hope to
control them? A Best of Prag.
02/24/2012 - If you're constantly offended, you're going to have a very hard time being happy.
02/17/2012 - Many Roads to Happiness. There is not just one way to be happy. There are many.
02/10/2012 - Dennis discuses his Happiness Hour theme. The happy make the world better and the unhappy
make it worse.
02/03/2012 - If you can say that you're a consistent seven out of ten on the Happiness Scale, you're doing well.
Swinging back and forth between one and ten leads to unhappines...Don't wait for something terricfic to make you
happy; if nothing terrible is happening, that's good enough reason to be happy.
01/27/2012 - Happiness Hour - Close Friends. Everyone needs close friends to confide in. Friends make life much
more enjoyable. So, if you don't have one, why not?
01/20/2012 - Happiness Hour: Dennis opens the lines to callers for any happiness subject on their minds. Issues
raised include: do video games make kids unhappy; how do you manage your expectations; how do you keep
resolutions.
01/13/2012 - Happiness Hour: Is Better Happier? Does becoming a better person – kinder, more thoughtful –
make you a happier person?
